Visit of the monks
  October 2008

Hundreds of monks lived in

its different khangtsen or buildings.

One called Samlo Khangtsenhad

many famous scholars and has been under

Lama Tsong Kha Pa's protection.

In 1959, the Chinese communist troops

destroyed this monastic university.

The original monks from Tibet's Samlo khangtsen

had great difficulty in re-establishing the new Samlo Khangtsen.

Most of them are very old and some passed away during the course of time.

Due to the Chinese oppression and the quota in the monasteries,

the increasing number of monks coming fromTibet needs more rooms.

Without any financial help

from outside and from their families stayed in Tibet,

the monks live in bad conditions
