Its spiritual head, Ven. Chusang rinpoche

The 5th incarnation of Chusang Rinpoche

was born in Tibet in1959.

His family, like so many others,

fled Tibet and settled in Nepal.

                           Its present situation

                     The Chusang Monastery is at present home of about 50 monks.

                                  Families coming from poor and remote villages

                                                     wish one of their children

                                            to enter the monastic community.

                                       They then see their expenses cut down.

The novice will be provided with modern education

with the study of English that, because of lack of money,

he would not otherwise be able to get.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama confirmed

the 5th Chusang Rinpoche's reincarnation.
